TECHNOLOGY: DIGILON
PHASE: PREPARATION
OBJECTIVES:
Improve the data storage capacity of existing QR code algorithms.
DIRECTIVES:
The name Digilon is derived from the latin ‘digital reticulum repono’ or ‘digital mesh storage’
By utilising multiple, overlaying cross-thatched patterns and colours, a digilon can store a minimum of 141,744 bytes of data without significant error, an increase on the standard ‘QR code’, which has a storage capacity of 2953 bytes.
RESULTS:
Artist’s rendition of Digilon 2.0 prototype – a translucent cube capable of immense data storage!
